DARKNESS RISING

Welcome to Darkness Rising! This is a brand new fan made webcomic by me, Keith Mlynarski (Game Music Freak). Darkness Rising is the story of how the Dark Knight and the Blue Bomber first meet, and the epic adventure that follows. It was launched officially on May 31, 2010 at Game Music Freak's blog with the cover and chapter 1 title card. The first page of the story was posted on June 25th, 2010.
This official page was opened on June 28th, 2010.

This is a story written and drawn by a fan, for fans. It is strictly for entertainment only, and nothing from it will ever be sold. Megaman and all related characters are copyright Capcom, and Batman and all related characters are copyright DC Comics.

PREFACE

This story has been in my head for a long time. It's a comic I've always wanted to see. Let's face it though, a Batman & Megaman team-up doesn't have a much of a chance at happening officially, so I decided to present my idea for the story here. I hope you will enjoy it.
This comic assumes the worlds of Batman & Megaman co-exist at the same time. I won't touch on their origins too much either. Chances are, if you're reading this story, then you're already a fan like me and you already know their origin stories! I hope you enjoy it!

The first panel is a tribute to Mr. Shigeto Ikehara, who drew the very first Japanese Mega Man Manga I got my hands on. I'm imagining this story as if it were animated. There are so many things I want to do with the characters! I must work quickly! The ideas are overflowing for this story!

A page with some close-ups. Hopefully Roll doesn't look too retro, but I find her earlier design much more charming. I think I found a common ground trying to combine the early and the modern version.
